a+bdg completed this garden sometime last fall, I think. Essentially we were called in about a month before jazz fest 3 jazz fests ago. The request was for planting before jazz fest and our response was “I don’t think we could get you mulch before jazz fest.” But somehow things clicked and the 20 month adventure began getting to know the clients and getting to know the property and getting to know the kids and getting to know the architect and much more. So we will start with some before pictures and then move on to pictures of completion of a young garden for a great family we now call friends.

- The Driveway Before
At some point in the process some one suggested a water feature and after many schematic attempts and some play with pastels an idea formed that seemed worth pursuing. Here is the pastel sketch.
